Hello! I'm Meow from The Pet Place - a brand new discord server.
Discord is a multi-platform (browser, PC, android, iOS) chat app with text and voice channels. It's so far been pushed heavily towards gamers - but it's a fantastic platform that allows people worldwide to come together and talk about a common interest.
I've created a server for chatting about pets - although we can talk about anything! You can also post charity and funding projects here (in our specific channel), and enter competitions. We've got support from one small retailer so far and hope to bring lots of fun prizes and freebies to folks when the server is a little more active. We'll be running a competition for Amazon vouchers when we hit 50 members!
We have a fun bot running that rewards you with levels as you chat which will give access to competitions and extra chat channels.
The server just went live so there are no members (as of posting this) but hopefully you - and your friends - will pop in and say hi. We hope to make this server an inclusive place for folks who are passionate about animals and want to share pics, videos, advise and just general chit-chat.

Hello. I am a High School Science Research Student. I am doing a study comparing the social behavior of different dog breeds to that of wild wolves. For my study, I am using survey research to gather data on dog behavior from owners. A large number of participants is necessary to get an accurate set of data. My mobile groomer comes and takes both my dogs out to her truck. They are about 55 and 80 lbs. She is supposed to bathe them, clip nails, clean ears and express glands, and dry them. They have very smooth coats.
She brings them back in about 50 minutes. Their coats are still a little damp, which is ok. She usually doesn't do a great job on my boxer's ears, but I can tell she has at least attempted it. (the other dog's ears never get dirty) but today, it looks like she didn't clean the boxer's ears at all.
Even if I conceded the ears, is it possible she's giving them both a decent and thorough bath and nail cut in such a short time?

My dog is allowed to go on the bed and couch, and she does hop onto them when my girlfriend hangs out with her on the bed/ couch. But when I start sitting on the couch or hop onto the bed, she almost always immediately gets down off the bed/ couch and lies down on the floor. She is otherwise very affectionate. She only does this when I get comfortable on the same platform as her. It's not really a problem or anything, but I'm just curious.

I was wondering if someone had a suggestion for a pool deck surfacing material? The paint we have is getting scraped up by our chocolate lab's claws skittering to jump in the pool. Right now it's a really expensive way to keep his nails trimmed! Thanks!
