Need advice on managing peeing on wood floor

Hi guys

My wood floor is taking a beating and I need some creative suggestions.

Hazel, my 55lb dog, is on a strong dose of Prednisone for her two intestinal diseases. This is not behavioral - she's fine when we lessen the dose. Poor pup.

Here's the basics:

• We can't lower the dose yet and I can't restrict her water intake
• I can only afford to have the dog walker come once during the workday ($18 per walk is rough)
• I am currently lining the floor with 4 large, washable pee pads but she moves them around (it looks like she throws them around)
• I can't use disposable pee pads because she tears them to shit and eats them (even when I duct taped them to the floor - funny picture - https://www.instagram.com/p/Bjn6FDXApgH/?taken-by=hazel_the_pit)
• I can't use diapers because I can't wash her every evening and the vet said she could get urine burn (I guess it is kinda like diaper rash?).

So that's where we stand. My floor (well, my landlord's floors) is taking a serious beating from being wet all the time.

Who has a good idea about how to save the floor?

I have started this petition after many conversation about the frustration of traveling with a dog on a long journey, it can be tricky to stop when you need to use facilities or grab some food, especially when you are on your own.

We all know we should not leave a dog in a car on their own, especially in hot weather and leaving them tied up puts them at risk of being stolen.

I want to urge all UK motorway services to allow dogs inside (even if its on lead only) so owners can use your facilities without putting their dogs at risk and help make travelling with a dog a fun and easy experience.
