Eye Injury
We have a 7 month old Boston Terrier, we had him at a local day care for a day and a half while we moved into a new house, the owner took him and the other dogs out for walks in a park with rivers and forested areas. When we picked him up today his eye was very swollen and had a lot of light green/yellow mucous around it and a scratch on the lower eyelid. The lady there said he likely ran into a branch or something which makes sense, nothing against her, she definitely seems to love dogs and when we pointed out the injury she gave us some eye drops she uses for eye infections for free. His eye is blood shot and very swollen, and the mucous builds up every couple hours, it's also very sore and he doesn't like it being cleaned with a klennex or getting hte drops put in it.
Has anyone had something like this happen to their dog's eye before? Is the mucous normal for an injured eye? Should we be worried? We're letting him sleep now because he's VERY tired from running around and playing all day, but just looking to hear from others that may have experienced something like this. We're thinking if it's worse tomorrow we will take him to the vet.
