Sometimes ya gotta be a bit crazy to work with animals.

Sorry no pic, but thought people might get a kick out of this story. Also, I'm on mobile and it's past my bedtime. Please have mercy on a poor, too tired to properly format soul.

Sometimes I backup my friend who is a dog sitter. Sometimes she's overbooked and needs someone to stay over night with one client while she stays with another. Neat, good money, easy, and I like dogs. The owners have all been properly introduced and we've let the dogs do their own interviews. I'm very reliable with the cookie jar 😁 So, I'm watching this little furry muppet. He's notorious for only wanting to walk like 20 feet and then he's ready to go home, but he absolutely will not do his business in the backyard. So it's out for walks. I've learned I have to bribe this little stinker with treats. He gets to the corner, he gets a treat. He gets to the next corner he gets a treat. Tonight I tried something different since he seemed to be a bit perkier for me than usual (he mopes when his momma is gone). Tonight, I turned around, gave him a play bow and made like I was gonna run away. It worked! Sorta. Once he caught on he sat down and refused to move again. So I got him going again the same way, but this time while he was bouncing next to me, I started skipping. Which is when it occurred to me that kinda looks like Toto, so I started singing "we're off to see the Wizard!" In the dark. He thought it was GREAT! Best fun he ever had! Now I'm going to have to skip and sing whenever I walk him! 😂😂
