How to teach an elderly dog to use a grass potty pad?

I have a dog that pees on the floor during the night and I recently got him an artificial grass potty pad. He doesn't know to use it though. What are some tips and tricks to help him understand that he needs to pee on that? Verbally voicing it doesnt seem to work. Thanks!

How do i make my other animals get along with the new one?

I have two cats and two yorkies. Recently I got a new 8 week old German shepard, they don't get along. Leia (the German shepard) tries to get near them but they just growl and hiss. Do they learn to get used to her or do i need to do something about it? I can't have Leia near them right now or they might hurt her.

Help! My young rescue pup suddenly turned highly aggressive. Is there anything that can be done about her issues?

Three days ago my sweet and loving but shy pup, who I got at 14 weeks almost 3 weeks ago, started attacking humans and dogs, even ones she got along with up until then. When I first got her she loved to play with my other dogs and cuddle with them, now she mauls them just for coming near her. She was overly attached to me when I got her, and she still is about 80% of the time the past few days. The rest of the time the past few days she's been running away from me, and if I come near her she starts biting. Today she's acting like an aggressive nutcase.

She came with a lot of other issues when I got her that also need addressing too, like her horrible fear of everyone other than me. Even then she still seemed to expect to get hit at any moment, even though I've never hit her. The only phrase she knew when I got her was "bad dog", which makes her have a terrified meltdown. She screams like she's dying if I so much as use the bathroom because it means I'm not there with her. She still gets no sleep in her crate, the only way she can sleep is if she's by my side. I can't train her to do anything, and I've put a lot of time and effort into trying to teach her to sit. My other puppy could sit perfectly in a week. A week ago her and my other puppy started marking (yes I'm positive it's marking, also I got rid of the things they marked) all over their things, though I don't know which one started it. The first time I ever took her on a walk she freaked out so badly because a car backed up towards us that she started screaming and flopping around on the sidewalk, had horrible falls on the concrete but continued to flop, bled all over the place, and snapped at me like I've never seen a dog do when I tried to grab her to make her stop flopping. Most of these behaviors have only gotten worse.

I've tried asking around so much for help. The rescue called me a liar, then told me they don't give any help post-adoption even if they believed me. The vet doesn't care. Dog trainers tell me there's no such thing as a trainer who deals with dogs suffering from trauma, and that I should just deal with it myself. I've been nothing but positive with her, and so have my other dogs and the humans around her, but she's still deteriorating.

What am I supposed to do? How the hell does a dog adopted at 14 weeks old even end up THIS bad? She was dropped off at a shelter in Mexico when she was 6 weeks old, along with her littermates and both of her parents. Supposedly the family were strays, but the mother was highly aggressive towards the puppies and had to be separated from them. I met her littermates, her two sisters were very nice dogs who loved people (and were adopted), it was obvious they were well-adjusted. Her brother was the odd one out, he acted rabid. Her sisters returned to the rescue twice already while my dog and her brother returned once. Her and her brother were adopted by the same people, who ended up returning them two days later supposedly because it turned out the wife was allergic to dogs.

I can see some reasons in her background for this behavior, especially with the mother, but isn't that something they can forget and get over? There's no way her and her brother could've been traumatized that badly by whatever happened in two days at their first home, right? But that makes me wonder where her "bad dog" fear came from since she's from Mexico. She wasn't given any attention at the rescue, and was just kept with her litter so there was no opportunity for anyone to say "bad dog" to her. There's no way it could be genetics when her breed is normally one of the gentlest breeds, right? She's a purebred of a breed that was bred for the sole purpose of being companions for children, and yes we're 100% sure of her breed. Can whatever trauma she had from such a young age be dealt with? What do I do?? I'm terrified that giving her up would just be the final nail in the coffin for any hope of her having a normal life, but she is out of control and now even dangerous. She is hurting my other puppy and my senior.
