Bulldogs originally were used to drive cattle to market and to compete in a bloody sport called bullbaiting. Today, they're gentle companions who love kids. A brief walk and a nap on the sofa is just this dog breed's speed.
My dog was attacked today at an off-leash dog park by another husky.
The husky pinned my dog down and began biting at every area of her while she was yelping for help. The man's friend pulled the husky off of my dog then my dog whimpered and cried over to the side for around 30 seconds.
I took her on a walk and noticed she had blood on her knee and that she was limping. After further inspection I saw that the blood lead to a puncture wound.
We came back to the dog park and I asked the owner of the husky his information and told him that his dog left a puncture wound in my dog from the attack. He lied and said that he did not see this happen and declined giving me his information. I took pictures of his dog, the man and his car. I got information from a witness and she told me that his dog attacked another dog again later. I called the police and reported the incident. They said to call animal control for advice which I did and they said I can pursue a civil action.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation and have any advice?
