So we have a female Aussie named Pixel who is now about 8 months old. Whenever we let her out of her kennel, return home, praise her, etc., in her excitement she tends to grab one of her toys, bones, or sometimes random objects that she will proceed to keep in her mouth while we give her greetings/praise, almost as if she's showing it off.
If she can't find a toy or bone she'll grab a random object before she greets us (usually something like a sock). If she can't find anything she'll sometimes get anxious but will usually just forget it and proceed with greeting.
Is this normal? It's really cute of course, though I'm curious about the reason for this behavior.
