She doesn't bite or anything just growls and seems generally unfriendly.

Any ways on helping my little cousin to not be scared of my dog ?

My little cousin who is around 2 years old is terrified of my 3 months old puppy. Her parents said that when she was younger she wasn't scared, but something (they don't know what) made her suddenly scared of dogs. Now this is a pretty big problem since our dog is a puppy, and when my cousin is there I have to stay alone on the ground floor taking care of the dog while my mom stays on the first floor taking care of my cousin. Any help or just advice is welcome, I can provide more details about how she reacts to the dog if needed.
