Types of dog bones

My dog loooooves the bully sticks but they're super expensive. He's had the prepackaged roasted bones but I've since learned that those aren't safe. He doesn't like rawhides, just sniffs them and licks them a few times before leaving them in the middle of the living room.

I've heard you can give them raw bones, can I do that with the meat on? Are there certain cuts that I should avoid? What about pork ribs?
