My dog which is half weiner and half chihuahua for the past month or a little longer has been randomly making cough/choking noises. Sometimes i wont hear him do it for days but he'll do it sort of often. Just barely he was choking for a longer time and started choking where he was kind of making wheezing noises like when you cough all the air out of your lungs and keep coughing without catching your breath. Im worried but dont have money to take him to the vet. Im not sure but he might have stuff getting stuck in his throat cause he likes to sniff a lot all over the floor and theres always something on the floor like bird seeds or other small stuff. What could it be? He also makes wheezing noises with his nose when hes resting or sleeping but usually when i move him and hes starting to wake up.
