Be careful while walking your dog on sidewalks and Roads that they don't get fertilizer or weed control products on their paws and then come in from the walk and lick their paws. I always wash my dog's feet after a walk to remove as much of de fertilizer or weed control product as I can. I try to memorize the houses that have weed control and fertilizer products on the sidewalk so I can walk my dog into the road a little bit to avoid contaminating her paws but I still always wash her feet even if I think I haven't gotten anything on them
My housemate adopted a grand puppy of her dog yesterday. The puppy is 6 weeks old and hasn't been weened off milk yet. She's started puppy chow yesterday.
I'm concerned because when I asked about how old the pup was, she gave a detailed explanation of how is good to take pups at 6 weeks. Having grown up in Cali, I knew is illegal before 8 weeks but googling shows that most states it isn't as it is here in WA.
I don't know how to present this info or any other info suggesting 8-12 weeks to her without it being a fight. And I doubt she'll want to return the pup even if she agrees that it's too little.
Not sure what to do, but feel doing nothing isn't an option.
Thank you.
