Do you think dog health insurance is worth it?

Just curious on your opinion? I'm from America and have recently learned that pet insurance is the norm for European countries. I have two dachshunds that will be approaching 'elderly' ages very soon, and I was thinking about insurancing them just in case they start having health issues
