My baby kitten got mauled by a stupid dog that somehow managed to jump over my perimeter wall into my yard.
Gonna be traveling (primarily in Canada) with my dog next winter and really want to get the chance to let him run down a slope or two with me because he loves going on adventures with me and running in snow (he's German shepherd/husky/chow) but I don't know if that's a thing, other than backcountry boarding. In addition, what are some dog friendly cross country skiing areas? I know there are some of these as I'm familiar with some in Mammoth, but I'm hoping to learn of some more. Thanks for the help y'all! And just so you know, he is a very obedient and well trained dog.
So You Want To Own A Dog # 8------Teaching Your Dog To Lie Down ---1---Once the puppy is sitting, Kneel at its left side and hold its collar in your right hand. Holding a food treat in your left hand, place your hand on the puppy's nose before moving it downward. ---2--- As the puppy's nose follows the treat, move it forward to the front of its body. The moment the puppy starts to lie down, give the command ''Down,'' but do not reward the puppy yet. ---3--- Move the food just far enough forward to lure the puppy to lie down. Reward the puppy with praise and the food treat. Repeat the exercise frequently, until the puppy responds to words alone.---Repreve-Bruce Fogle, DVM---And Pet Supplies Plus,
Hi Before i start sorry about spelling and grammer We have a 2 year old lab/terrier cross. She is a rescue, We got her when she was about 6 months old. With us she is amazing, so loving and friendly. But over the last few months she has started to become afraid of everything. She has become very hard to walk, we had to start using a halty and now a muzzle. She used to love the dog park, and still loves other dogs but her behaviour to people has become very hard to control. It's got to a point that we can't even bring her to see family. Today she even tried to bite some man in the dog park because he ran passed her.
I can't give up on her. She is so important to me. She helped me thought some dark times a had early in the year.
We are at our ends If anyone has been through this and has any tips please let me know
Thanks
