Hello, about a year ago I purchased my first dog once I moved out of my parents house (19M). She is a Lab mix from a rescue shelter. Ever since I've had her she has always scooted on the carpet but I didn't have any knowledge as to what it was other than her just itching like all humans do once in awhile. She was on a consistent dry food "Iams". I recently started making more money and decided I wanted put her on a grain free more premium dog food so I purchased Taste of the wild. 2 weeks later she formed an anal gland abscess and I immediately called the vet and I had an appointment but it was 3 days later. She was whimpering and the next day when I woke up it burst and there was liquid (which she was constantly licking at) The vet recommended surgery if it continued and she expressed them as she said this would help. From then on she started getting abscesses once a week. I then switched her back to iams nd I've noticed there are no more abscess but she is back to scooting. Could she be allergic to grain free foods? And if so, do you think surgery is the right way to go? (which I'm not really comfortable with that decision). If you guys have experienced this as well what are some good dog foods with grain in them? I just want to be able to provide a healthy life for my girl!
Hello fellow doglovers, me and my gf recently got a new dog. We were looking for a new member of our family, we came across were they sell dogs and ship them to our country. We came in contact with someone wanted to sell us a pug, we had some talk and he asled us to sign the paper that makes the dog ours, we had to send all our personal info and stuff. When i wanted to make the payment at the bank multiple people there tol me not to do it because it would be a fraud. So we contacted the person again and told him we didnt want to do it because it looked fishey because we had to send the payment to Kameroen en rhe dog came from somewhere completely. Else the day after my gf a e-mail saying we would get a fine of 40.000 euro's or 3 years in prison for not shipping the dog to us. Do any of you know if this is another try to get money or are we in real trouble? Any people who had this type of situation before?
Much love J. M. and blue.
