How to Get Over Loss of Dog

My dog has just died two days ago, I thought it would get easier but it seems like its just getting harder.

It hurts so much that dogs can't go to heaven like humans and that her conscience is gone forever and I won't be able to see her again. Over time, her personality changed many times and so did mine. All she gave was love and was always there when the world wasn't. I can't stand the thought of her having any less.
