Should I "Smudge" my dog??

This is a weird question, but I feel like my dog has negative energy around him. He has cost me almost a thousand dollars in weird incidences related to him in the last few weeks. A month ago, I was running with him on a dark trail and a woman berated me for having him on a dark trail that I should only have him in a lit up area. So dumb so we got into a loud argument on the trail. Ever since then, we've had a lot of bad luck. First on the way to the vet to get a routine vaccination, my car fell into a deep hole in the road and I had to get my tire replaced, still need to take my car to the dealer the tire is making weird sounds. Then, yesterday I was running with him and he veered into the bike lane for a SPLIT second scaring a woman approaching us from behind. She crashed badly and had a terrible gash in her forehead, concussion and broke her new (expensive) glasses that I now have to pay to replace. Got some sage gonna smudge him and me. Is that weird?

Life after a Condylar Fracture

We've just adopted a dog from abroad who came with a sprain. We took him to our vets to check - they've X-rayed and they've diagnosed a condylar fracture in the front right leg.

He's a 4 month old lab/pointer cross with an amazing temperament.

We're now in a quandary as to what to do so looking for advice, stories of similar situations, and any other useful info.

One option is send him back to the country of misdiagnosis and let the vet deal with him as no insurance will cover him here for a CT scan and operation (UK).

Another option is to find some way of getting affordable treatment for him and just toning down our expectations of what he'll be able to do in terms of exercise.

Hey Guys! I'm looking into getting a dog sometime later this year or next, and so far I've narrowed it down the Aussie and a golden retriever, however I'm definitely open to sugguestions! I'm looking for a medium-to-large dog that's friendly-to-reserved with strangers, but definitely a "velcro" dog with me, or at least very affectionate. We live in Northwest Florida, where it's pretty warm all year round, we only have a few days here were it's freezing temperatures, so heat tolerance, while under precautions of course, is important. Ease of training is also important, as well as no dog aggression because I'm interested in dog sports like flyball, agility, obedience, disc dog, and most definitely trick training. This also means that I want an active dog, but not a dog that has to CONSTANTLY be going going going. It will just be my girlfriend and I, and as I homosexual couple, children don't look like a strong possibility, and definitely not accidentally. We do live in a townhouse, so I prefer a dog that doesn't bark just to hear it's own voice. We don't own any other pets, however we could end up getting another dog or a snake. As far as dog experience goes, I have had a golden retriever before and a corgi mix (I had to rehome them when my life kinda fell apart, and I don't plan on bringing a dog into my life until I am certain my life is definitely stable.) My girlfriend is a major pit bull fanatic, and has primarily owned and been around pitbulls.

Thank you, and again, if you feel neither of these quite fit, I'm happy to hear some alternatives!
