I have some flea pills ordered(should be in tomorrow), Advantus Soft Chew. On my way home from work I also picked up the stuff that goes down their back, I picked a natural on, Natural Care +, and was wondering can I use the two together since it's natural? That the reason I choose the natural one because I know you shouldn't mix the other two, the pill and Frontline, (according to the internet...sorry). Am I wrong should I not give them the pills or would it have been fine either way?

My dog has been pretty wierd recently.

For example he usually howls with the wolfs around. Usually when he hears them but now he just does it out of his own( he aint a husky or something its not typical od him) he has been whining when he sees me and keeps aggressively barking and whining until 3 am( again not like him). He turned 9 years this june and i dont know if these are some sings that he's going away. As much as i dont want to think about that. Hes been my first dog so i dont know if they act weirdly before death. Im leaving this here bc i got teared up already.

What to Do If Your Dog Bites Someone

What you never even thought of has just happened, your dog bit someone. Now what do you do? You must react quickly and appropriately when your dog bites someone. Your dog took the wrong action, but now your reaction will affect the victim, their family, your dog, you and your family.

It is suggested to immediately apologize to the victim and their family. Do not bring your dog with you to show them that he or she is normally behaved! It is best if you go alone or to make your case more sympathetic you could bring your children.

Although tempting, do not keep talking about how wonderful your dog is. The victim of a dog bite does not want to hear about that right now. They just had a terrible experience and they would like empathy. Express concern and do briefly mention that your dog is not a "biter". Talking calmly, bring with you and show veterinarian records to prove that your dog has received all vaccinations; this will calm down the person who was bit by your dog.

If the person is extremely upset, offer any assistance and then give them some time to cool down. Check the laws in your area; each state/region differs as to what will happen when a dog bites someone. Have your vet records ready to show to any dog officer who comes to see you. Hiding your dog is not a good idea; but keeping them inside is. If you check your local laws and there is a possibility of your dog being taken away, you should immediately get a lawyer. You may not have a lot of time, a dog officer or the police could show up at any time so do this quickly.

If you are shocked that your dog bit someone, you should determine why this happened. Do you have any witnesses? Did the victim of the dog bite bother or entice your dog? Did they make threatening motions or taunts?

Many dogs will nip or bite if they are in pain; for this reason a prompt vet check up must be done. If your dog is not ill, enter him or her into obedience school. Not only should you do this for the sake of having your dog not bite anyone again, but the fact that your dog bit someone points to him or her needing strict training. Having your dog receive professional training will make your case look better, should you need to go to court.

Bring cookies or treats to the dog bite victim and check up on them to see how they are doing. Offer to pay for any medical bills and listen if they need to vent anger or frustration. About a week later, send a card to show that you have not forgotten about them.

If your dog was ill and is now better or if your dog is done with obedience school and you are quite sure that he or she will not bite again, ask if it would be alright for your dog to "apologize". If your dog is trained, you could have a basket of wrapped goodies and have your dog hold the handle with his mouth and bring it over.

Anyone know any fun and different games to play with dogs?

Like I play slapsies with my dog where she has to bat my hand and I have to try move it, you can see her getting frustrated when she misses and can see how happy she is when she wins.

I also put a treat in 1 hand and have her pick from both hands.

Anyone know any other games like these that make the dog have to think/try? I used to give her a treat when she beat me in slapsies but now she just enjoys playing and I pat her when she wins.
