I have two 4 year old Chihuahuas. I started them off with IAMS dog food since they were tiny puppies. I then transitioned them into Blue Buffalo Dry dog food. They did good with that kinda until my family started feeding them chicken, hot dogs and pork for snacks. My dogs are NOT obese, they're actually perfect weight. Slowly they stopped eating the dry food of course so I bought liquid vitamins from PetSmart. Anytime I put that on the food they gobble it up. Without it they smell the food and leave. I leave the food out for 20 minutes then pick up until dinner time. Now I started mixing in chicken with the dry food and add in chicken broth I buy from pet smart. They're still not eating it entirely or they just pick the meat out and leave the kibbel. I tried to add everything in and slowly incorporate Royal canine or Wellness into the mix but they're not eating it. I know the Kibble is way too hard for my 10lb Chihuahua. She's having a hard time chewing it so I wet it to soften it up but at the same time she is still not eating it. The only way they'll eat the dry food is if they're REALLY hungry and have no choice to eat it.
I need help/ suggestions please. Thank you
