Is there a good LSG dog that is good for hiking and camping also?

I am planning on keeping ducks and chickens in the future and will probably need a LSG dog to protect from foxes, crows etc. I also love camping and hiking however I know dogs such as the great pyrenees arent great off the lead as they tend to wander. Are there any LSG dogs that stay by your side or shall I just get another dog thats good for hiking/camping and just try and make the pens super secure and hope for the best.

hi all, not sure if this allowed, but i am at my wits end. mods feel free to delete if this isnt allowed.

so here goes.

we have a new dog. a 5 year old lab/heeler(?) mix. my brother in law has left the states and we felt bad not taking him if he would be sent to a shelter. its been a week. he is so unhappy it hurts my heart. he went on a fast and potty strike (which has thankfully ended) but he lays by the front door. sometimes crying. i have a cat (3yrs) who i have raised, but i feel out of my element with him. any suggestions? i just want him to be happy
