This strange-looking dog found a family that loves her and thinks she is gorgeous.

Not sure if this is the right place for this sort of question, but I figured it can't hurt to ask. What are the rules for a dog marking his territory? Is there a set pattern for where they mark?
I'm asking because my dog is the nosiest dog ever. He has to smell everything. He has to pee on everything too. We live in an apartment complex so there are plenty of other dogs that roam the area outside.
Sometimes he'll smell a spot for ages and then pee on it. Other times, he'll smell a particular spot for a lengthy amount of time, and then just move on. I understand that smell is the dogs way of communicating, but why does he pee on some and not the other?
He'll also keep marking until he has nothing left. Leg will go up and he might pee one drop. A lot of the times if he's been outside a while, he'll go to pee and nothing will come out (most likely he's already peed at least 8 times prior). He's a neutered Chihuahua (who thinks he's the biggest dog on the block haha) if that makes any difference. Thanks all!
Hello!
We are having out first issue transitioning a puppy from one food to another. She was put on Hill urinary care perscription wet food while she was with the foster but she doesnt need it (verified via vet).
So we tried transitioning her to Nutro puppy lamb and rice pate. First time she had diarrhea i thought i had gone too quickly but the second time we had her at a 50/50 mix for 4 days and she still started getting diarrhea.
So now we think she may have a food intolerance to something in the Nutro and I am planning on switching her to a chicken based kibble.
My questions are what dry large breed kibble do you think would be a good balance between price point and quality? And while the current canned food says "chicken flavor" the top two ingredients are water and beef by-products, should i look for beef based food or chicken based?
Thanks!

I would like two Shiba Inus, specifically for Medical Alert dogs.
I'm 4"11, and the trainers I have seen mostly recommend Labradors but those dogs are too big too scary for me.
I'm used to pitbulls, but airlines can deny access to pitbulls, even if they are service dogs and fully trained.
A shiba inu would be at my knees, at its tallest.
I say two in the case that I develop more problems, in which case, I can get a second dog from the same breeder and train them at the same trainer.
Any recommendations for breeders that you have experience with and Medical Alert training services that you have experienced with?
Also any comment about recommendations or suggestions for different breeds is also welcome, I onky have experience with cats, rabbits, and chickens. My experience with dogs comes from my neighbor starving and leaving their dogs out, so my family always feeds them.
