I was walking home from a wine store and a dog barked at me for no reason. I didn't look at the dog and I didn't do anything to the dog. I walked away quickly and had to yell stop 3 times for it to stop. The owner didn't do anything.

Please help me decide if my dog should be put down or not I am freaking out :(

My childhood small schnauzer mix dog just turned 16 and until 2 days ago was extremely healthy and looked younger than ever.

She suddenly stopped eating and got taken to the vet and they found out that she had belly pain so they did a radio and saw a big mass near her belly. They also did a blood test and her white cells count are higher than usual so she could be fighting an infection or she could have cancer but other than that they said that her organs are very healthy.

So basically they gave her pain killer and she started eating again and still want to go on walk and looks happy but she is sleeping in a weird position and we dont know if its because her mass is painful or because its bothering her and she wants to be comfortable. Either way, both me and the vet agreed that the pain killer is just a temporary solution and that we cant leave her like that.

So the options are ; doing more tests (700$ and i already paid 500$ note that I dont have that money and would have to ask my sister or my dad for a loan) to see what the mass is. If they can remove it, then put her through surgery to remove it(probably another 1000$ or more) and remove it but with a risk of her not waking up as she is 16 years old. Or if its cancer or whatever else that they cant remove then putting her down.

Now, I am just fucking at loss on what to do. The worse part is that I am a 1500$ plane ticket away and wasn't planning on coming back for at least another 4-5 months as she was perfectly healthy before I left and shes in very good hands her second owner

I had her so young so never had other pets before and I dont know when is the right time to put them down. Should you spend all your money and put them through surgery just so they can live a little longer only to risk having other health problems later on and stress all the time about their health? She looked so healthy and young but she is 16 !!! How old is a dog supposed to live?

I just know that if I was an older person I would rather be "put down" than suffering and going through surgery but I feel like its selfish of me to think of what I would do and i should just "fight for her"

I dont know if I should do the 700$ test to know if she can have the surgery when i dont even know if i want to put her through the risk of the surgery considering her age:

If i do decide to put her down I dont know if I should spend the 1500$ to come back just to see her sick and put her down... i am scared that if i dont do it i might regret it all my life. I feel terribly guilty that i am not there even if she is in extremely good hands and I feel like this is affecting my judgment.

Please tell me what you would do and if you had a similar experience. I am so scared and confused i am not sleeping or eating properly and i have been crying non stop 3 days. I am really not coping well

Help! Got a new puppy Husky and my Yorkie keeps throwing up and pooping!

Morning,

We got a baby husky about a week ago. As of late, my Yorkie has been throwing up and has had diarrhea all inside the house... fun...

I've been feeding him chicken and rice as well as liquid immodium. I also implemented a heart worm treatment for his food as our Husky caught something in the pet store and is getting treated.

I'm positive it's from stress (I hope) but the situation is quite poopy. Any ideas or suggestions to help us out? The husky was an anniversary gift to my wife but I feel like she's going to kill me.
