Soft hearted friend becoming dog hoarder
Hi so maybe someone will have some insight on this because i sure dont. A good friend of mine has a serious problem. She currently has 6 dogs. 20ish cats. 2 ferrets. A snake. 2 birds. A rabbit. And a mouse her husband couldnt feed to said snake. She does not have time for all of them. She damn sure doesnt have time for 6 dogs three of which are young cattle dog mixes especially when her husband doesnt help her feed, water, train, play, or walk all of them. She had one pup die about a month ago. One a couple months before that (in my opinion due to depression. She was kept seperate from the other dogs and only got to play once in a blue moon) Since the pup died she has been to the shelter to get 2 more (yes sbe went to the shelter. That is good. Pups need to be saved. But if you cant provide am adequate home.is that saving?) Anyway. Shes at 6 now. Is there a point someone should call animal control? Would animal control do anything? None of the dogs get the time they need amd act like feral dogs. But they are all fed and watered.
