Healthy Dog Food Recipes All Dogs Will Love
Simple Chicken Dinner
There's nothing quite as comforting as a home-cooked chicken dinner – and your pup is sure to agree with this simple recipe! Packed with lots of nutrients, this is one easy dish that your dog will enjoy as much as you will making it. Great as a raw or cooked option.
Ingredients: 5 pounds of chicken (any chicken meat will do, just remember to remove the bones before serving!) 2 cups of red cabbage, chopped 2 apples, with skins and cores removed and diced 2 cups of spinach 5 eggs, either raw or cooked 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
Cut up the chicken and place the pieces into a pot of large boiling water.
When the chicken is almost cooked fully, reduce the heat to a simmer and add the chopped cabbage, apples and spinach.
Continue to cook at a simmer until the chicken is fully cooked.
Remove the pot from the stove and add the eggs and olive oil.
Stir all ingredients. Wait until everything cools before serving.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
Substitutions: The Simple Chicken Dinner can also be served uncooked as part of a raw diet.
If you choose to feed your dog a raw diet, be sure that all meat products are fresh cuts to reduce the potential of illness and/or contamination.
