#dog - #Should my friend get rid of his dog afrer it bit him?

Should my friend get rid of his dog afrer it bit him?

So a friend rescued a dog. He is pretty aggressive to other dogs and animals and has tried to attack people (entering his yard so it's kinda justified). My friend adopted him anyway because fosters begged him to.

Fast forward a year or more later and the dog was barking after hearing a tv show sound that sounded like the doorbell. Friend tells dog to stop and it doesn't. He repeats and then decides to go to the room where the dog is.

He is upset and the dog shys away as he is coming towards it telling it no and then saying some other things. He went to grab it's collar to put him outside and the dog bit him.

The bite wasn't hard so my friend says he told the dog no and went to grab the collar again and it bit him. At this point he said he was upset and kept trying to grab the collar and commanding the dog to stop when it bit down on him. He was hoping it would understand that it shouldn't bite him. He also said it snarled at him when he let go but hovered pver the dog.

In the end he brought the dog outside and had 1 puncture on his finger and a long cut on his other arm. He was bleeding a little.

He admits he may have been to aggressive with the dog but i told him i think the dog is dangerous and since he is going to have a kid soon i think he should relocate the dog.

What are your thoughts? For context, the dog has beat the crap out of his friends dog, causing multiple cuts and taking a bit of the ear off.
