Stair solutions for the aging brown mutt
Our classic brown mut Hank is getting older. Our house is currently mid-reno and I am wondering if anyone has any grand ideas about stairs finishes. Currently they are the roughed in 'temporary' stairs (one year is temporary...right?) And have an unfinished rough surface. Hardwood is our preference of course, but I know he will belly slide down the shiny bastards and i'll finally have use that pet insurance. Carpet makes me cringe and I have yet to see a carpeted runner that doesn't reminded me on my nana's house. Steps are a straight up, wall on one side, 13 risers approx. to the bedroom...where he HAS to be able to sleep. We have a very agile 2yo shepherd and the thought of poor old hank being left out almost breaks my heart.
