Advice seeking- my dog is anxious
I have a very excitable German Sheppard mix. He has been with me for a year and is 2 years old. He loves strangers, but struggles with being out of my sight
For instance, my boyfriend came over last night. Normally, Charlie sleeps in his bed in the same room as us. However, the "mood began to strike" simultaneously when Charlie found is neccessary to tell a squirrel out the window to get lost. He was distracting so he needed to leave.
I put him outside of my bedroom. 30 minutes later, he peed and pooped on the floor, he ate part of the door frame, and grabbed a pizza box from the kitchen counter.
This is normal behavior if he does not get to sleep in the room with me. Its 10x worse if my boyfriend comes over. He really likes my boyfriend.
Any tips to help him overcome his FOMO?
