My dog is trying to mate with my 5 month old puppy. I need help
Hello, my 6 year old dog is in heat and is trying to mate with my 5 month old girl puppy. I am getting her operated on Sunday so before that Ihave to keep them away from each other. But the old dog is barking constantly and is scratching the door all night trying to get to her. He refuses to eat too and is acting really strange. Is it normal for a dog to behave like this when he is in heat and around a female doggy? Is the only solution keeping them away? What do I do about the constant crying, barking, scratching. I haven't sleep all night because he kept barking. I'm feeling really really bad for him but also for the pup because she genuinely looks scared to have a big dog attack her like that (he almost mounting himself on her when I let go of the leash by mistake).
