Dog vet visit reaction?
My dog went to the vet for the first time in a while (years upon years). She got a checkup and updated on her shots, they gave her a parvo shot, a heart worm prevention shot, some kind of syringe into her mouth or gum/teeth area, and lastly they gave her medicine in her ear due to an ear infection that we thought might have been ear mites.
The vet told us that our dog had heart worms, this sounded very strange because there has never been any sign of that. But he said the blood test, tested positive and that the prevention shot prevented more but wouldn't kill off what she had. He also stated that her heart sounded really good and like I stated before she has not been having any issues or side effects before.
That has all changed once we got home from the vet. My dog is acting totally different and weird. She continuously makes rounds around the couch, coffee tables, etc. just walking around circles. Panting and breathing heavy. She walks herself into corners and just stands and stares into the corner. She has walked through and into coffee tables and desks and gotten stuck. Will not go up and down stairs.
These are all new behaviors that have never been an issue. She literally just did this after getting back from the vet. Are these side effects to worry about? Is she just sore, tired, disoriented from the meds?
