Help Foster Husky not getting along with Amstaff puppy - help please

Not sure if right place to post this but just need some advice. We have the sweetest friendliest 7 month old amstaff puppy and decided to foster our friends 2yr old husky for 6 months untill they find a place that can accommodate themselves and the husky overseas. They have separate crates. First night at about 1am after letting them out to pee the amstaff tried to get int the huskys crate. The husky ran in and got territorial and chased her out. Now the amstaff is scared to go into her own crate Dogs are fine playing together in the garden however the husky is now not letting the amstaff enter the house. The amstaff is now getting too scared to come into the house , we have to carry her in .

The husky has been at a rescue for a few months so our thoughts are that she is very unsure of her surroundings and unsure of us and the other dog. They were fine together on a walk this morning even trying to play again.

We have blocked off the yard so they are separate during the day whilst we are away.

We are just really scared that our amstaff is going to be traumatized and bullied.

Advice from family is that it will take a while for the husky to settle and this behavior should stop. It is just really upsetting and the moment and we feel like we've made a huge mistake.

We also realize that we probably are worrying too much about our puppy and the husky should be the priority at the moment. Our house is quite small so is hard to not be surrounded by tense doggos

Please help?

EDIT if anyone knows an appropriate thread to post this on please let me know ( very new to reddit)
