Dog Incident at Dog Park - Houston, Tx

Hi everyone,

I just moved to Houston so help me out. I was at a dog park with my two dogs, everything was fine until a lady came in with her two kids. She was on the phone distracted. One of her kids (maybe 3-5?) started running around and the dogs started chasing after him, including mine. One of the dogs bit him, not sure if it was mine or not. The kid got startled and started to make a ruckus. I asked the lady if the kid was ok, and she started to yell that it had been my dog. Long story short: it did not break flesh, it was more the indentation. I gave her all my information and even offered my vet's info but she didnt want it. Well, she called the police and filed a report, the police called me and told me animal control would contact me, the officer wanted my license number but I didnt have my wallet. I dont know what to expect. My dog is not used to being around kids, and this kid was running around unsupervised in the middle of basically a pack. I am having a panic attack just thinking about what could happen. Would they take the dog away? will they put it down? I dont care about me but I love my dogs. Any information is welcome.
