I bought a golden doodle but she didn't look like one now we took a doggie DNA test, not golden doodle.
Ok, so some of you hate me for even writing golden doodle, but I didn't order her or anything like that, just went to my local pet store and really liked her, she was 8 weeks old. Paid $1600 for a Goldendoodle, don't hate me for that either. I like that she was not a purebreed for health reasons and golden doodle are known not to shed a lot. Now she's a year old and we just thought she'd grow into the poodle part but she didn't so we did a doggie DNA test. Turns out she's 100% golden retriever.
It feels really weird, she part of the family now, no matter what she is, but from a consumer standpoint: I bought something I thought was X and the store said was X, but it turns out I didn't get what I bought. If I had adopted her, we never would have cared. I'm not sure what I should do. Nothing, be angry at pet store, pet breeder... What would you do?
They are a reputable pet store, local, and have been in the town about 20 years. A family store.
