My girl is getting old and I don't know how to cope with it
We have at home two girls. Kayla and Laika. Laika is a newcomer. She's almost 2 y/o and a hurricane condensed in four paws. Kayla is around 12 y/o and was our first dog. As an old dog, she's blind and spends most of her time laying down and napping. Just yesterday I was looking at old pictures and videos from 10 years ago. She was so young, her fur was from a shiny black and just like Laika is today, she was so full of energy! And watching those moments is the very definition of bittersweet. It's hard to believe that the happy dog fom those images is the same one from today. It hurts me to even imagine the day she'll leave us that I'm almost tearing up as I type this. All I hope is that she has lived a happy life and the moment of her passing may be as calm and peaceful as possible. Anyway, sorry for this depressing post. I just wanted to get this out of my chest a little.
