So I just got a 5 month old Rottweiler puppy, he won't eat unless i feed him, don't go outside unless I let him out. My roomate will try to feed him or let him out and all the puppy will do is 1.stay in the kennel or jump on my bed and not move. He also is scared of everybody and runs if they move to fast but has no problem with me and will only get on my bed if he is scared and will not get on the couches or anything, he is also terrified of the kitchen, I think the last people that had him spanked or beat him and chained him up outside that's why but idk. Any advice or insite???
How come my dog is obsessed with me???
I love my dog and I always find it funny that she follows me everywhere I go. If I go to the bathroom she sits on the rug next to me. If I lay on the couch she's there. She sleeps in bed with me at night.
It's funny because she can be dead asleep but if I get up to leave the room she jumps up to go with me.
Why does she do this???
Hey everyone, I just recently opened an online store for dogs. We specialize mainly in Quality Orthopedic Dog Beds but we also have other items as well and many more items will be provided later on! I just wanted everyone to know that at the end of every month 10% of all proceeds will go to a different rescue nationwide! Rescues are chosen at random. Would love the support of the local community here in Reddit! Looking forward in helping the future of underfunded rescues!
Thanks in advance to all my Dog Loving Friends out there! :)
Bruce is an intelligent, loving animal but he's so badly behaved it's unreal. He constantly steals things, breaks things, bumps into stuff (he's clumsy), stands in doorways refusing to move, steals food, barks and whines when ignored, jumps all over people and nearly tramples them (makes visitors a pain in the ass), snores loudly and so on and so on. He has pretty much every problem a dog can have, except for biting or pooping.
Whenever you try to give him an instruction (i.e move, sit, drop it) whether you ask nicely or shout he completely ignores you or growls and snaps. Hes not deaf, he's just an ass. The only time he listens is when my dad yells at him like a nutter and scares him into behaving. He's really gross too; licks the floor, drools everywhere, passes wind every two minutes. I know that's not his fault, but it's still annoying.
And he also has a problem where he bites at his rear end obsessively, causing it to bleed. He does this at ALL TIMES, whether he's happy or sad, fleas or no fleas, before and after meals etc. He waits till my dad is out of the room cause he's a crafty buggar, then he bites and bites till his back's bloody raw. The only way to stop it is to put one of those satellite-dish collars on him, which he hates. But soon as the collar's off, he's at it again. If we leave him to it he's gonna injure himself and get an infection, so the cone collar's our only option and it sucks.
I have no idea why he's like this. No matter how kind we are to him, and no matter how much my dad yells at him, he's always bad. It's making my parents miserable. We can't give him away because no one wants him- we can't put him in a pound because he'd get put down and that's cruel. Underneath it all I feel like he's trying to be a good boy, but in truth he's a massive liability and we don't know what to do.
He's about two years old by the way, he's always been bad but I think he's getting worse.
