#dog - #What dog breeds are suited for a full time work week?

What dog breeds are suited for a full time work week?

I've been researching dog breeds for the past couple weeks, and wanted to reach out to see if anybody had any advice or recommendations on specific breeds.

I love dogs! I've never owned a dog myself, but have always wanted too, and am finally in a position where I'm able to.

About me: I live in an apartment complex in an urban area with a fairly big courtyard.

I have the flexibility to work home at least once a week, and my work is dog friendly so I'd be able to bring the dog in twice a week. So on average 2 days in a given week where the dog would be home alone for the majority of the day, but of course dog walks before and after. Regardless I can commit to at least 1 hour of walking or park time per day + in house games and mental training, and more on weekends.

Additionally I would definitely be taking dog training classes.

Dogs I've been looking at:

goldendoodle labradoodle shiba inu vizsla redbone coonhound great dane boxer

From my research I think the vizsla and coonhound may require more exercise than I can provide, and the shiba inu may be too difficult to train for a first time owner.

Any warnings on the dogs I'm considering? Any other dogs I should consider?
