[Discussion] Should I let my adopted dog stay with his previous owner for a long weekend?
We adopted a dog a week ago, and in 2 weeks are heading out of town for 4 days. The previous dog owner was an amazing owner and she was really into the idea of dog watching him while we were away. Initially we thought this was a great idea, but now I'm worried this might mess him up. It took a while to settle him down after re-homing and I worry if he stays with her for 4 days, he'll have a really hard to re-adjusting to us again. Is this a bad idea and should we just send him to doggy boarding, or let him stay with another friend? Or are those options equally bad or worse because at least he's familiar with his previous owner? Any advice much appreciated!
