#dog - #Dog Ill = Owner Anxiety

Dog Ill = Owner Anxiety

I'm a medic (military and civilian) so I'm used to people being "sick", many on the brink or had passed eventually. I've been sick, family had been sick...but for some weird reason my dog is diagnosed with pyometria and I'm just so messed up. I think I'm having anxiety.

I can't think straight since this started happening on Saturday, esp. when it finally dawned on me that I need to get her surgery ASAP yesterday I can't do anything. I can't workout (I usually workout at gym to get this pent up stuff out), I can't even eat, I have a headache and stressing out about her.

She's has an appt. for tomorrow morning but I'm freaking out rn.

I've always downplayed my pet (whom I've had for 14 yrs) in regards with her relations to me (because I've always afraid to get attached, trauma probably from being dumped in the past), but I am jacked up more than I thought I was gonna be.

That and the finances on this (although I'm actually pretty good because I am well financed for the most part). But I feel scared leaving the house in fear something might happen to her while I'm gone. She's actually fairly stable but goddammit I'm scared as hell. I'm a grown ass man lol.

Anyone else like this before or rn?
